|
SAVE YOUR POSTS.
I know we've been saying this a lot lately, especially with the upcoming move, but seriously—it's much better to be safe than sorry. We as a
staff cannot stress this enough. It's heartbreaking to lose posts, and with the server and XMB platform being so unpredictable, we can't guarantee
your writing's safety!
It only takes a few seconds. And if you and your role play partner both save copies of your thread, then you have a double back-up!
I bring this up again not only because T-S has been running slow (as Rhey has pointed out) but because I've received a number of concerns regarding post counts. They seem to be mysteriously
going down.
Looks like Rhey was the one causing the post count trouble. No need to worry, guys. But still save your posts, okay? Good.
Thanks, guys!

» T-S is slow as molasses.
In case you haven't noticed, T-S is having a bit of a hiccup. It's running slow and sometimes it has 'server timed out' messages. The staff knows
about this. I have contacted Roxy so hopefully she can come on here and see about fixing the problem as soon as possible. Otherwise, the staff
members' hands are tied about this problem.
As far as I know, it is the server that is the issue and not the XMB forums. Which possibly can be fixed by contacting the server host.
Just as a reminder, SAVE YOUR POSTS. This is just in case the server does some sort of crazy thing where it erases posts within a
certain time period (Which has happened). Or in case the site is off for a few hours.
The Staff Highly Reccomends Saving Your Posts.
For the easiest way to do this, click on 'printable version' in the top left of the thread. CTRL+A to highlight all of the text. CTRL+ C to copy all
of the text. Open a word document and CTRL + V to paste it.
Thanks for being patient with us as we work these kinks out.

» EVERYONE PLEASE READ!
PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY.
Some of you may have forgotten, but we've been in works to make a move to a new site. The xmb forum has treated us kindly throughout the years, but
the help forums has dwindled down to nothing so if we have trouble with the site that is beyond our control, then it takes a long time to get
something done about it.
With that said! We are getting ready to make this big move. You guys have things to do to help make this as smooth as possible.
SAVE YOUR POSTS. Go through and save all your rps, even the ones that you say are 'inactive' but you can still see. We are not
going to pull any threads out of the Old Threads because they have been gone for years. To save your rps easily, click 'Printable Version' in the
top left of your rp. CTRL+A to highlight all of your rp. CTRL+C to copy the whole rp. CTRL+V to paste it into a document of your choice.
You can still reply to rps here until we give the signal to stop.
When the move happens, you and your rp partner can either copy/paste the whole rp or you can just start from the point you are now in your replies.
We are trying/tried to make the new site look like T-S as much as possible, but there are still a few difficulties with trying to get the themes to
work right. If you are someone that is really good with codes/phpbb forums, please post here or u2u a staff member to help out.
There are going to be a few kinks to work out when we make the move. It will be different, but I'm sure we can all agree that having a site that has
a large staff to help us when something goes wrong is a lot better than something happening and not being able to fix it for a few days.
If you have any questions or if any staff members would like to add anything, please post here.

» Please read.
It's been a while since I've had to make this sort of announcement, I don't like having to post threads like this, which I hope you can all
appreciate it, so the fact that I'm posting this here means that things have gotten out of hand.
In the past few days, I have received complaints from numerous sources regarding one matter: members who have someone else play the messenger for
them. If you need to tell or ask someone something, do so directly. Do not ask another member to do it for you. This is particularly
important if you need to ask a staff member something. The staff will here forth ignore any message passed on to them not directly from the member
asking the question. If I hear of any members asking someone else to pass on a message for them, they will receive an automatic warning. It isn't
fair on other people to ask them to pass on a message. If you can't bring up a matter with someone else: do not bring it up at all.
[Please note: absences from the site are exempt to this.]
On the topic of asking staff members things: deleting threads. The staff will not delete a search thread for you that has been posted within the past
seven days. If I see members asking staff to delete search threads and then posting a new one up, the new thread will be deleted, and you will receive
a warning.
Finally, if a staff member sends you a U2U on an official T-S matter (that is, not related to your roleplay or just general chatting) respond to it.
Even if it's just an acknowledgement that you have read the U2U. We put our time and effort into this site, and so it's pretty rude to ignore us if
we're discussing a site matter with you. So, if there are any U2Us sitting in your inbox from the staff that you haven't replied to, I advise you do
so now.
If you have any issues with any of the above, please post on this thread.

» Weekly Giveaway Prizes
Hello! So, I know I was really slow on getting out the prizes for the Weekly Giveaway winners, but after a couple of reminders (you know who you are),
I finally picked up my act and went and distributed everything that was asked for on the threads. However, I know that not everyone who won, or
received a special mention have claimed their rewards. So! If you think that may be you, please go back and have a look at the threads announcing the
winners (they can be found in the Contests
section) and post here letting me know what you would like. Similarly, if you would like to forfeit your prize, please let me know.
Many thanks!
